Really enjoyed it , only meant to spend 5 mins but spent an hour instead. Love anything to do with times gone by especially my home town WIGAN. Well done Brian don't know how you do it.

great site to accompany another one, wigan world. would like to see a good photo of the old Pemberton Police Station where I lived and worked for a few years in the 60's, it would revive some good memories. Hope youcan oblige. Tom.

Thanks for the opportunity of viewing the Hick Hargreaves photos. They are quite remarkable,beautifully sharp, and technically fascinating. The varieties of flywheel construction are most instructive.

Excellent photos & well constructed site - a credit to webmeister- especially private collection of Wigan Miners - my family were involved in mining in Wigan & Leigh area - so very interesting to view characters and conditions. Keep it up

Very nice site - I really like the crisp appearance of the pages, so much nicer than so many nowadays being cluttered up with stuff. Definitely a case of "less is more".
