Berry's Electric Ltd

I am the proud owner of this exact model in Australia. It is a pleasure to own a piece of British history. Would love to renovate it back to it's original glory

I was the drawing office junior from 1947 to 1949 when I left to do nat Serv in the RAF. On demob in 1951 I returned as a draughtsman, working directly under Mr Leslie Earp, Chief Draughtsman, and worked on the Masterberry (the fire shown in the advert(and amongst other things) doing the casting drawings for the aluminium base. I have many happy memories of working at BEL.

I workad at Berrys Electric when I was 18. In the lathe shop, for ( foreman Mr Budd). All my friends worked there too. Best time I ever had! Started in 1960. Been a while!

I have what I think is a 1939 or earlier 'Berry's Magicoal Plus Fires. It was given to me at a yard sale. It has raised metal lettering on each side that says THE "NEWBERRY" MAGICOAL and on the back ID plate it says from top to bottom Patented...Berry's Electric LTD, MAGICOAL 'Plus' Fires...Made in England...H H Berry's British and World...Patents 33...Volts 110 Watts 00 No J3 I cannot find any information wether it has any worth. There is very little info on this but there seems to be much more info available after the 1950's. Anyone have any info on this unit; or any idea of its worth? Help Please as we are very curious of its history

I have a 1923 'Berry's Magicoal Electric Fires' I picked up at a thrift store. It reads 'Berry's patents 1918-1920'. There is the back glass plate which is orange, and a clear white glass plate that I am not sure where it is placed. I cannot find any information wether it has any worth. There is very little info on this year, but there seems to be much more info available after the 1950's. Anyone have any info on this 1923 unit; or any idea of its worth?
